Last May, I had the privilege of having Troy Stein from Techsmith come and record my flipped classes all day, interviewing some students, and just capturing the atmosphere and environment of the craziness that ensues on a daily basis!
Well, as he said, "Good things come to those who wait!"... Here it is! Enjoy :)
Thanks Troy and team! You guys are amazing!!
This blog has served as a place to reflect and analyze on my journey to flipped learning in my high school math classes from 2011-2014. While I have transitioned to several other outside-the-classroom roles in education, this blog still hosts my reflections from those 3 years of flipping as well as thoughts from my other journeys as an instructional coach and curriculum leader. Thank you for being a part of my PLN!

If I may, I'd like to share a few insights from my experience making the video.
ReplyDelete1. Flipping a class, ala Crystal, would be a great weight-loss program. I was exhausted just trying to follow her with a camera.
2. Crystal's classroom management skills are impressive. She's able to group kids -- see her posts about WSQ -- and then able to curtail instruction accordingly.
3. My wife watched the finished video and said, "wow, I wish our kids had her. Wouldn't it be awesome if all teachers were like her?"
4. As a parent, I am a *huge* fan of flipped learning, as MY son struggles mightily w/ his high school math.
Thank you Crystal for breathing fresh air into the educational system!
